Upgrade & credit rules
- Upgrade only: Starter → Studio Drive → Ultimate Pro upgrades are supported. Downgrades are blocked.
- Same-tier renewal: Renewing Starter, Studio Drive, or Ultimate Pro for another month is allowed at current price.
- Proration: On a mid-cycle upgrade, unused balance from the current plan is deducted from the new plan amount for the remaining days.
- Storage overage: When quota is full, buy Extra 5 GB for ₹99 without changing plan tier.
FAQ
How does the Studio Drive (₹399/mo) plan work with Google Drive?
Studio Drive connects directly to your own Google Drive (personal 15 GB, Google One, or Google Workspace) using secure Google OAuth. Your client album media files are stored safely in your own Google Drive, while Smorio delivers instant Edge Caching and smooth Smart Print playback. You get 4K video uploads and unlimited albums without paying Smorio any additional storage add-on fees.
Can I move from Ultimate Pro down to Starter?
No. Plan changes are upgrade-only (Starter → Ultimate Pro). You cannot downgrade Ultimate Pro to Starter. You may let Ultimate Pro expire and later purchase Starter as a new term.
How does mid-cycle upgrade credit work?
If you upgrade within an active paid month, unused days of your current plan are credited against the new plan price. You pay only the difference for the remaining period; the current term end date is preserved where applicable.
Do subscriptions auto-renew?
No. All paid products use manual Razorpay checkout. Smorio does not auto-debit cards or UPI.
What happens when a paid plan ends?
After plan end: 7 days read-only access, then content is retained (not publicly playable) for 30 more days for renewal recovery. Without renewal, hosted content is queued for permanent deletion after that window.
What is an Event Token?
A one-time purchase that activates one client album for 1 year with 5 GB storage — no monthly subscription required. Bundles and reactivation are available from Billing.
Is GST charged?
While the operator is not GST-registered, Smorio does not charge GST on invoices. Billing address is collected for invoices, support, and place of supply.
