Privacy & Data Requests

Available actions and legal rights depend on the account, the data involved, the requester's relationship to it, and the law that applies at the time of the request.

Ask What We Hold

Ask for information about account data or media associated with a record that Smorio can locate and verify.

Correct Information

Studios can edit current profile fields in Account Settings. Other corrections may require account verification and Studio Support.

Request Deletion

Request deletion of eligible account or hosted-media data. Some billing, security, backup, dispute, or legal records may need to remain.

Download Account Metadata

Registered studios can prepare a JSON export of available account metadata. The export is not a bulk download of original photos or videos.

How to Submit a Request

Registered Studio

  1. Sign in to the Studio Dashboard.
  2. Open Studio Support.
  3. Choose Privacy & Data Request.
  4. Describe the record and action requested without sending passwords, OTPs, payment credentials, or unnecessary client data.
  5. Keep the request reference number.

Cannot Access a Studio Account or Appears in Uploaded Media

Email grievance@smorio.com with enough non-sensitive information to locate the studio, memory, or request. Do not send identity documents until Smorio explains what verification is needed.

Email is not proof of identity by itself. Smorio may need to verify the requester, studio relationship, media reference, or account ownership before taking action.

Review and Outcome

Smorio reviews verified requests according to the record involved and applicable requirements. Smorio does not invent one universal acknowledgement, completion, deletion, or export deadline for every type of request. Where applicable law prescribes a response, acknowledgement, correction, erasure, grievance, or other deadline, that legal deadline controls. Smorio may ask for clarification, refuse an unverified or abusive request, or retain limited records when required or reasonably necessary for billing, security, fraud prevention, disputes, backups, or legal obligations.

Consumer grievances are handled through the operator and grievance process on the Contact Support page. Privacy/data requests and consumer grievances are not automatically the same type of request, so the applicable process depends on what the requester is asking Smorio to do.

When eligible deletion is completed, affected hosted media and QR playback may stop and cannot be restored from the active service. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or technical systems until their normal deletion or overwrite process completes.
